Overview
AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking an APP to provide comprehensive care, support and education to patients and their families through all aspects of their physical medicine and rehabilitation process. The APP will participate as a key member of the Orthopedic and Spine team to identify and meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient. We are looking for someone who utilizes a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach to the patient/family's care, serving as an expert practitioner, educator, consultant, and researcher in the inpatient, operative, and outpatient settings.
This APP will split their time – 75% in clinic, 25% in the hospital procedure suite.

Job Requirements
- Assists in seeing both new and return patients
- Conducts rounding on patients and supports physicians with patients in clinic.
- Procedures will include: Knee injections, bursa injections, shoulder injections, trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks.
- Consenting for ablations, epidurals, spinal cord stimulator trials, peripheral nerve stimulators, kyphoplasties, and Basivertebral nerve ablation.
- Orders and interprets test results.
- Functions as a resource person for individuals with questions regarding their diagnosis or treatment and coordinates the multidisciplinary plan of care.
- Works in collaboration with other APPs and physicians using established and approved protocols as required by institutional policy.
- Effectively uses time, personnel, equipment and supplies to provide high-quality, cost-effective delivery of patient care.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree (Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program)
- 2 years in neurosurgery, orthopedics, PM&R, or Interventional Pain Medicine
- Orthopedics, Spine or Pain Management experience preferred
- If Nurse Practitioner - must have successfully completed undergraduate and Master’s level-nursing programs, passed state boards, and achieved ARNP status.
- If Physician Assistant - must hold a baccalaureate degree, or a minimum of two years of college credits, and have graduated from a physician assistant program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Current, valid State of Colorado license or ability to obtain one
